North Georgia's Premier
Trout Fishing Club
Private access to 3.5 miles of managed wild and stocked trout water. A sanctuary for the serious angler.
Private Water That Earns Your Best Cast
Wild Water Trout Club is not a public fishery. It is not a crowded weekend destination. It is a carefully managed, privately held fishery in the heart of the North Georgia mountains — built for anglers who take the sport seriously.
Members enjoy exclusive access to 3.5 miles of private water on Tickanetley Creek, a freestone mountain stream in Gilmer County. The water is managed for quality, not quantity: limited rod days, enforced catch-and-release, and a stocking program that supplements natural reproduction without overwhelming it.

A Different Class of Access

Scheduled Access
Members receive two scheduled fishing days per month on the private water. Access is coordinated to keep rod numbers low and the experience undisturbed.

Wild Habitat Management
We prioritize ecological stewardship — maintaining natural stream flow and insect life while supplementing with approximately 1,200 lbs of trout stocking annually to enhance the fishery.

Guided First Access
All new members complete a mandatory guided orientation trip before fishing independently. This protects the water and ensures every angler on the creek understands our standards.

Tickanetley Creek
Locally known as "The Tick," Tickanetley Creek runs cold and clear through the hardwood ridges of Gilmer County. A tributary of the Coosawattee River watershed, it holds the thermal characteristics — shaded canopy, consistent gradient, cold spring inputs — that trout demand year-round.
The club controls 3.5 miles of this creek, protecting it from public pressure while managing it for long-term fishery health. Wild browns and rainbows hold in the pocket water and pools alongside selectively stocked fish that quickly condition to the stream's naturals.
